A “Fluffy” Pop-Up Shop Experience

London based artist Lucy Sparrow opened up her very own Pop-Up only a few days ago on the 1st of August.

After an extremely successful Kickstarter project, Sparrow was able to secure £10000, though the original goal was for merely £2000. After the overwhelming support, Sparrow then went on to create the goods for her Pop-Up. In the end she ended up creating 4000 products.

At this point you may be wondering, what is so special about her Pop-Up concept? And furthermore, she created 4000 of what?

Artsist Lucy Sparrow is in the business of Felt. She is able to create masterpieces out of this fluffy material. Therefore, in her Kickstarter she mentioned how Cornershops in London seem to be a thing of the past, so she wanted to bring one back, though in a more inventive way. Below are a few pictures of the space she set up shop in before any renovations took place.

After a good amount of work with incredible results, Sparrow was then able to put everything in place. Every single item in Sparrow’s Cornershop are items you would see in any Cornershop, except that all of the items in her own shop are made entirely out of felt: everything up to the cash register.

All items sold in The Cornershop can also be bought here online.

The Cornershop will be open from August 1st-31st. If you’re in the area, I highly suggest you take a very worthwhile trip down there.
