Singapore based online design collective Naiise has commandeered Orchard Central and named it “The Design Supermarket”.
The Pop-Up store itself is composed entirely of Cardboard, keeping up sustainability while still promoting neat designs. They also offer both paid and free activities for the public. Founder Dennis Tay mentioned that they have 2-3 times the volume than they did last time. He also mentioned how Pop-Ups definitely do better than their online store. Not discounting the benefits of having an online stable presence, he stated how foot traffic and actual in person conversations certainly help with the buying/selling process.
