‘A bit of a treat for us’: Tim Hortons transforms suburban Calgary home into pop-up shop, wowing neighbours

Creative Concept! Love it~

National Post | Life

Residents in a suburban Calgary neighbourood didn’t have to travel far for their cup of coffee this morning thanks to a public relations stunt by Tim Hortons.

On Tuesday, the famed Canadian coffee chain transformed a regular suburban home in Oakridge, Alta., into a functioning Tim Hortons store, equipped with a giant neon sign and authentic red-and-brown awnings, all in the name of an employment drive campaign.

According to reports, residents woke up to gift baskets full of Tim Hortons merchandise on their doorsteps. Chalk drawings with the words “follow the Timbits for free coffee and donuts” lined the sidewalks, leading the neighbourhood residents like breadcrumbs (doughnut bits?) to the pop-up location where Tim Hortons employees were waiting.
